The Big Day Continues...

On to Christmas morning.  We set up a web chat session so that Tiffany's abuela and abuelo could see her open her gifts and see the reaction to what Santa brought.  Man, I love technology!!!!  Distance is not a problem anymore.

She got clothes and a beautiful red coat with black furlike trim on the cuffs and collar. Several DVD's --Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio, some Dora the Explorer and Blues Clues. Stuffed animal's and a Abuelita Rosa doll that sings to her in Spanish.  She had so much great stuff that she didn't know where to start.

Santa brought her a four wheeler and a bunch of pretend food and Lincoln logs and aDora play phone.  Also toy cars, an art kit with crayons and paint and markers and some books. She has all sorts of entertainment and fun in front of her.

Then to the Mindaks for Christmas dinner.  Baked Ziti and salad and lots of yummy appetizers.  Tiffany got two Dr. Seuss collections and some big girl undies and the Cars DVD.  She also got to video chat with her Uncle Mark and Aunt Alice out on the west coast in Oregon.

Someone sounds like a very lucky and loved little girl to me.

My Christmas wish is that EVERY child know what it feels like to be special and loved.  The presents are nice but being able to say I love you to them is a treasure beyond words.

Merry Christmas everyone.

The Big Day IS Here!!!

Merry Christmas (and the day after Christmas) from all of us here at the Mindak-Pittman-Maldonado homestead!!!  We hope your holiday was everything you wanted it to be and that the one's that mean the most to you were with you in spirit if not in body.

It has been a on the roads kind of weekend here.  Christmas Eve we went to Wilmington to see the Pittman part of the family.  Did dinner at a Japanese steak house so we got the fire show at the table.  The princess wasn't even fazed by it, lol.  In fact, she started looking at the other tables to see if there was more.  She got a wagon from her great grandma and uncle down there. When it came out of the box she just climbed right in (of course it didn't move too well since the wheels were not attached yet....). Then off to bed to wait for Santa to come............

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year....

This time of year I really start missing my friends from the dark ages ( those who have moved on to other states and have lives so busy that we are grateful for a quick phone call every now and again).

So to Mary and Janet and Debbie--I MISS YOU GIRLS!!!!!  Love ya!!

And....to all my Facebook friends:

You all mean so much to me.  I laugh with you, cry with you, play online games with you.  You all are a daily inspiration to me with how you go so graciously through life.  The help, advise and just being there when I need someone are priceless beyond words.  Thank you all.

Merry Christmas

Weekend Mornings

Time to sleep in and then make oatmeal for breakfast. Then  PLAYTIME!!! Usually we dump the toy box in the middle of the floor and just play with all of it.  Lately she has been into puzzles.  She is getting pretty good at a couple of the ones she has.  Lunch is a soup and sandwich kind of thing as the weather gets colder.  Yep, weekend mornings are pretty darn good.  :)

It's Almost Christmas....

and the princess has been exceptionally good with the decorations.  She only takes the bears off if the Christmas tree and so far has not tried to go after the boxes underneath it.  She does however, have to tell the tree bye when we leave the house.

So .....

Now that the introduction is out of the way, what do we do next?

We can start by expressing our appreciation to the lucky folks that get to inhabit Tiffany's world:

Abuela Lydia and  Charlie, Louis the Great, Ma and Pop-Pop, Aunt Tammy and Uncle Tom, Miss Elizabeth the most awesome babysitter in the universe.  Without these folks and may others (who will get shoutouts in future posts) Princess Tiffany's world would be not nearly as amazing as it is!!!

Thank you to all of you for loving her like you do!!!

They Say A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words....

The Grand Introduction

Hello world,

This blog is going to be all about Tiffany.  Tiffany is the baby of the family.  She is also the ruler of the kingdom.
Schedules revolve around her, menus are planned with her tastes in mind and vacations and trips are scheduled around her life.

And we wouldn't have it any other way!!!!!  After all, she has to be the light of someone's life, so we are more than happy to let it be ours.

Tiffany is our 19 month old baby girl.  She has brown hair and eyes, beautiful olive skin and the personality of an angel (most of the time).

So sit back and enjoy as we share the life of the most special kiddo we have been privileged to know.
